With a two-story whimsical design, Create Your Taste customizable sandwiches, chef-inspired pastas and pizzas, and a towering PlayPlace and arcade, Orlando is ready to welcome millions of guests to the World’s Largest Entertainment McDonald’s.
“For many years, our original World’s Largest Entertainment McDonald’s location was one of the most visited McDonald’s restaurants in the world,” said Gary Oerther, Owner/Operator and Chairman of Oerther Foods, Inc. “We are excited to show residents and visitors to Orlando how this unique McDonald’s restaurant was redesigned with the customer experience at the forefront.”
The 18,716 square-foot (woah) restaurant is the only McDonald’s restaurant in the world to offer this combined customizable food and fun experience. It employs more than 200 people and replaces the former neighboring McDonald’s that opened in 1976 and grew to become an Orlando icon. This one-of-a-kind McDonald’s features exclusive food experiences and service innovations throughout the state-of the-art restaurant:
- Create Your Taste: Guests in the dining room are able to completely customize their burger and chicken sandwiches by choosing from a variety of toppings. Each quarter-pound*, 100 percent USDA inspected beef patty, third pound* sirloin beef patty, grilled chicken filet or buttermilk chicken filet is cooked to order and presented to customers open-faced in a metal basket designed to showcase each quality ingredient.
- Exclusive Menu Offerings: Available only at the World’s Largest Entertainment McDonald’s, customers can customize their own chef-inspired entrees – omelettes, waffles, pastas or oven-baked pizzas – all freshly prepared in an open kitchen. A variety of indulgent desserts are also available at this restaurant.
- Self-order Kiosks: Providing customers a convenient way to customize their meal, self-order kiosks can be used to create, order and pay for any item on the McDonald’s menu. Restaurant team members will serve as concierges and help guide guests while ordering.
- Play Area: Designed exclusively for this restaurant, children will be entertained in a 22-foot tall towering play structure with tunnels, slides and climbing features. More than 2,000 square feet of classic and contemporary video arcade games offer fun for the youngest guests — and the young at heart.
- Iconic Design: The design captures the playful and imaginative feel of the World’s Largest Entertainment McDonald’s. The restaurant stands 48-feet tall with a gold barrel roof and white tile arcades showcasing a stylized McDonald’s logo. Exterior features include red entrance canopies, outdoor seating, a side-by-side drive-thru, theatrical LED lighting on the front glass and a 30-foot tall Ronald McDonald highlighted with LED lighting, making it the tallest, illuminated Ronald McDonald image in the world.
